A vision from Yoni Kreger
The YK Salon is the realized vision of its creator, Yoni Kreger, who brings decades of experience teaching the art of cutting, coloring, and styling hair.
Immediately upon his arrival in New York in 2004, Yoni started working as a senior stylist for Manhattan’s largest hair salon chain. Within the year, he was promoted to manager, where he took a struggling location and, through his exceptional managerial acumen and magnetic charisma, turned his salon into a bustling hive of inspiration and client satisfaction. He also became one of the company’s top educators, teaching assistants and stylists not only the basics and nuances of hair cutting and coloring, but also instilling in them an unshakeable commitment to client satisfaction and indulgence. This system of mixing sophisticated hairstyling techniques based on a dynamic client consultation is at the heart of the YK Salon approach.
In 2010, Yoni opened his first US hair salon in New York’s SoHo neighborhood, to much acclaim.
In 2015, Yoni brought his vision across the Hudson River to establish the YK Salon in South Orange, New Jersey. There, he launched the Silk Road Hair Care line of products—only available at YK Salon—and built an extraordinary team of exceptional hairstylists, colorists, and client satisfaction representatives. He also established the YK Hair Academy to ensure that learning and growing never stops for the passionate and committed hairstylists of YK Salon.

Yoni is a firm believer that the ongoing success of the YK Salon is wholly the gift of the communities that the YK team serves. Gratitude for this gift extends far beyond the individual clients. In addition to being proud and loyal sponsors of many community events, the YK Salon is also the home of Share Your Hair With Love, a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to helping women undergoing chemotherapy.
